Description of the role:

Obvious is a full-service marketing agency on the hunt for a passionate and innovative Digital Marketing Account Manager. You’ll be working with and supporting our awesome clients, as well as supporting our own social enterprise, StudySpy, a digital prospectus with every tertiary course and scholarship in Aotearoa.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, positive team player with the ability to be autonomous. This person will have significant experience in growing digital brands and sales. The right candidate will be a strategic thinker that optimises and implements digital marketing strategies across relevant channels.

Obvious provides creative and technical solutions across New Zealand, and is growing rapidly. In 2019, Obvious was a finalist for 'Best Emerging Business 2019' at the Wellington Region Business Excellence Awards.

Even before the pandemic, we were working remotely; we’re well aware of the benefits that remote work/working from home provides. We opted to close down the office for a more flexible work-life balance, to retain more awesome staff, and to choose the best people for key roles - no matter their location.

We work with clients all across Aotearoa, from Auckland to Queenstown, and not only are our clients based across New Zealand, so is our team. We're an experienced group of people growing a modern, flexible team of top talent, up and down the country. 

We're great at using online communication tools like Slack, and Google Meet, and we find we’re more efficient working online. We still have in-person catch ups in Wellington and virtual team hangouts, as we realise the importance of being social during mahi.

Being based in Wellington, or at least being able to travel to Wellington, is an advantage as it means we can have you at team social events, and provide opportunities for in-person catch ups if needed.
