Obvious is a full-service marketing agency on the hunt for a passionate, innovative and charismatic Digital Account Manager. You’ll be working with and supporting our awesome clients, as well as supporting our own social enterprise, StudySpy, a digital prospectus with every tertiary course and scholarship in Aotearoa.
We’re looking for a self-motivated, autonomous, positive team player with something to prove. This person will have a passion for growing digital brands and sales and will be able to think creatively. The right candidate will be a strategic thinker that optimises and implements digital marketing strategies across relevant channels, as well as having a bit of a design flair!
As part of team Obvious, you’ll be contributing to the strategic direction of our digital marketing accounts, overseeing the execution and reporting back to the clients with focus on growing their audiences and engagement in a way that helps their brand and vision excel. You’ll plan out marketing calendars, write content for socials, liaise directly with clients and help them achieve their goals, optimise CTAs and budget, run the Obvious and StudySpy social channels, brief Obvious’ creative team and work closely with our Digital Marketing Lead and Operations Manager.
You’ll have the exciting opportunity of being the main lines of communication for all things digital in the agency. You’ll be the go-to person for clients about their digital marketing campaigns and website. You’ll be overseeing their performance and reporting back to the client on performance and plans moving forward. As the main lines of communication, you’ll be the glue between our clients, and our internal team, as well as our partners and suppliers. You’ll also be part of the pre-sale team, assisting with proposals and meeting our prospective clients to grow the business.

We're great at using online communication tools like Slack, Monday.com and Google Meet (we actually train our clients on how to optimise these tools and processes). We find that we’re more efficient working online and when we meet up physically everyone is up for socialising! We get that socialising is an important part of the mahi we do so we have online hangouts and even a pet channel on Slack to keep us all entertained.
Being based in Wellington, or at least being able to travel to Wellington, is an advantage as it means we can more easily have you at physical social events, and members of the team can work physically with you during the first weeks of on boarding to the role.
